MANILA - Despite the Commission on Appointments’ (CA) bypassing of their appointments, President Rodrigo Duterte will reappoint the secretaries of agrarian reform, health, environment, and social welfare, the Palace reassured on Wednesday.
Duterte’s trust in his choices also remain undiminished, said Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella in a statement.
“The President's trust and confidence in the Cabinet secretaries bypassed remain undiminished. We expect that they will be reappointed to continue serving their posts,” Abella said.
After confirming the appointment of some appointees of the executive, the CA bypassed Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano, Health Secretary Paulyn Ubial, Environment Secretary Gina Lopez, and Social Welfare and Development Secretary Judy Taguiwalo due to different issues.
Congress goes on a recess on March 17.
