(UPDATED) The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday announced the postponement of the National Achievement Test (NAT) and the National Career Assessment Exams (NCAE) scheduled on March 1 and 2 in the National Capital Region.

In a phone interview, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said the exams will be postponed because their supplier was not able to deliver the test papers.

DepEd has yet to announce a new schedule for the exams in Metro Manila.

The administration of the NCAE and NAT in all other areas/regions should continue as scheduled on March 1-2 as stated in DepEd Memo #16, s. 2017, the department said.

The NAT is taken by all Grade 6 students from both public and private schools, while the NCAE is taken by junior high school students to help them decide which track to take in senior high.
