ILOILO CITY - Authorities arrested a Spanish national for allegedly punching 2 bouncers at a dance club in Small Ville complex, Manduriao town here early Sunday.

Suspect Jose Maria Jimenez, 46, attempted to throw a chair in the club's pool so security personnel had to restrain him, but he fought back and shouted at them, said Nestor Gardrose, one of the bouncers he allegedly punched.

Cops encountered difficulties as they brought Jimenez to the police station because of his unruly behavior.

The suspect, who appeared drunk, also cursed at and threatened cops when they assisted him with his artificial leg.

Jimenez lost his right leg when he was still a soldier, his wife said.

According to Insp. Juan Tigaronita, deputy chief of Mandurriao police station, the suspect had an emotional breakdown because he was planning to bring his one-year-old daughter to London, but the papers needed for them to leave was still pending.
