Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada has suspended classes in parts of Metro Manila on Friday, January 27 to give way to preparations for the Chinese New Year.

In an executive order, Estrada declared a suspension of January 27 classes at all levels in Binondo, Sta. Cruz and Quiapo districts.

Malacañang earlier declared the Chinese New Year on January 28, Saturday a special non-working holiday.
