CAGAYAN DE ORO—Students of the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) have launched a signature campaign urging President Rodrigo Duterte to help in solving the killing of university president Ricardo Rotoras.

“As a grieving community, bringing him to justice is the only thing that could bring us into peace with his untimely death. Bringing Dr. Rotoras’ death to justice also gives us all hope and faith to our justice system – that there is still justice out there,” the letter addressed to Duterte read.

A P2.5-million reward awaits anyone who can give information and identify the perpetrators behind the murder of Rotoras.

USTP students and faculty members also commemorated the 40th day of Rotoras' death, who was gunned down by unidentified men outside his residence last December 2, 2017.

“I pray that justice will be served the soonest possible time,” said third-year Technology Communication Management student Asile Bergado.
