MANILA – A low pressure area off Puerto Princesa City in the country's western coast will bring more rains to large portions of Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, weather bureau PAGASA said.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected in the Bicol Region and the provinces of Palawan, Quezon and Aurora, PAGASA said.

The weather system, formerly tropical depression “Auring”, was spotted 80 kilometers west southwest of Puerto Princesa City at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

“Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said.

The weather bureau also said light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, Caraga and the rest of CALABARZON and of MIMAROPA.
