MANILA, Philippines – The home of a vice mayoral candidate in Santiago City, Isabela was the subject of an arson attempt over the weekend, authorities said.

A still unidentified man on a motorcycle lobbed a Molotov bomb in the home of Dr. Paul de Jesus, who is running in the 2013 mid-term elections, in Arellano St., Barangay Dubinan East.

De Jesus’s neighbors were able to put out the flames immediately.
