81,000 Sendong victims get Sagip Kapamilya help

MANILA, Philippines – More than 81,000 people affected by tropical storm Sendong in the southern Philippines received aid relief from ABS-CBN's Sagip Kapamilya program as of Friday afternoon.

The program, which is being undertaken in cooperation with the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, has served 81,846 people or around 27,282 families.

Soup kitchens have served 1,543 individuals, and 20,000 families have been given water assistance.

Donors may drop their cash donations or relief goods at the ABS-CBN compound Center Road, Mother Ignacia St. in Quezon City.

Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m to 11 p.m. Mondays to Sundays.

On December 24 and December 31, the drop-off point will be open from 8 a.m to 2 p.m.

The drop-off center will be closed on December 25 and will resume on December 26.
