Ship runs aground in Palawan

MANILA, Philippines – A ship ran aground in Cabuaya Island in Cagayancillo, Palawan due to strong waves caused by typhoon “Pablo”.

According to a report received by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) headquarters, MV Milagrosa J4 ran aground after its anchor snapped, causing the vessel to drift.

There were no reported casualties in the incident.

MV Milagrosa was carrying 16 passengers and was headed for Iligan City from Puerto Princesa.

The ship temporarily docked near a small island to let the typhoon pass, but strong waves still caused damage to its anchor. Report from Ricky Velasco, dzMM
