MANILA, Philippines – Classes in all levels and government work in the Caraga region have been suspended until tomorrow in preparation for typhoon "Pablo".
Office of Civil Defense (OCD) chief Amado Posas said the suspension will be effective Monday afternoon until tomorrow.
Posas said excluded in the work suspension are those belonging in agencies providing relief and emergency services.
The Caraga region includes the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur and Siargao Island.
Under Department of Education guidelines, classes in preschool are automatically suspended when storm warning signal no. 1 is raised.
Classes from preschool to high school, meanwhile, are called off automatically when signal no. 2 is raised. – report from Dexter Ganibe, dzMM
