Central Mindanao's 2nd most wanted drug lord falls

MANILA, Philippines -- Central Mindanao's second most wanted drug pusher was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation.

The suspect, identified as Danny "Doydoy" Borinaga, was listed as No. 2 on the PDEA Central Mindanao Priority Target List.

The 23-year-old Borinaga, allegedly a member of the Malacañang Drug Group, was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to a PDEA poseur-buyer.

Seized from the suspect were a knife, a five-inch ice pick and marked money.

Borinaga is now facing charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. -- Report from dzMM
