MANILA, Philippines – An LBC branch in Malolos, Bulacan was robbed for a third time by unidentified gunmen last Sunday.
Video footage from a CCTV camera showed that the robbers also took valuables from the branch’s customers.
According to the Philippine National Police (PNP), prior to Sunday’s robbery, the same branch had been already robbed twice last September and October.
An estimated P100,000 have already been stolen from the LBC branch, which does not have security guards.
“Naka-tatlong insidente na ng holdap. Ayaw yata ng management ng LBC magkaroon ng security guard. Kaya nagkaroon tayo ng adjustment ng deployment ng personnel,” said Malolos police Chief Superintendent David Poklay.
Last week, robbers posing as customers also hit LBC branches in Sta. Mesa and Fairview, Quezon City.
Despite the string of robberies, most LBC branches still do not have security guards.
“Sa management, wala pa naman pong sinasabi kung bakit wala pa din kaming guard,” said LBC employee Lance Arrienda.
Police said investigations are still ongoing but they already have a list of possible suspects. -- Report from Gus Abelgas, ABS-CBN News
