Soldiers hurt in Aurora landmine blast
MANILA, Philippines – An undetermined number of soldiers were injured in a landmine explosion at the boundary of Aurora and Nueva Ecija on Friday morning.
Initial information from the Philippine Army said the explosion occurred at the boundary of Baler, Aurora and Bongabon, Nueva Ecija past 9 a.m.
The soldiers were on board a military truck and bound for Aurora province when the explosion occurred.
The military said members of the New People's Army may be behind the blast.
The soldiers were under the 7th Infantry Division, led by Major General Greg Catapang. – report from Rachel Itchon, radio dzMM
