ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – The camp of former Zamboanga del Norte representative and now Zamboanga City mayoralty aspirant Romeo Jalosjos has denied allegations linking him to the Aman Futures pyramiding scam.
Jalosjos' lawyer, Atty. Giovanni Luistro, said Jalosjos seeks to clarify his name, questioning how his name was dragged in the controversy.
Luistro also denied that his client has received a portion of investments from Aman Futures, adding that Jalosjos did not invest in the pyramiding scam.
He also said Jalosjos does not keep track of his bodyguards, who were also implicated as the one carrying Jalosjos' alleged share of the Aman investments.
Luistro said Manuel Amalilio and other officials of the Aman Futures Group may have stayed in Dakak, but so are a hundred thousand others.
Luistro added that his client is seriously considering filing charges against those who are in cahoots with his political enemies in implicating his name in the controversy.
The lawyer also said his client suspects that there is a malicious intent to malign him by his political enemies for the 2013 polls.
