MANILA, Philippines -- A magnitude 4 earthquake hit Benguet on Friday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the earthquake occurred at 9:18 a.m. Its epicenter was located 4 kilometers southwest of Tuba, Benguet.
The quake had a depth of 21 kilometers.
Intensity 3 was felt in Baguio City.
Phivolcs said it was tectonic in origin, which means the quake was caused by a movement of a local fault.
No aftershocks and damage are expected, Phivolcs said.
