MANILA, Philippines -- The mayor of Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City issued on Thursday shoot-to-kill orders on three more suspects behind the killings of a couple and their two children in Barangay Canitoan.

Mayor Vicente Emano said he issued the orders after learning that children were also killed in the incident.

"Ini-utos ko sa mga pulis na kung manlaban, barilin agad. Pati mga bata dinamay nila. Gumamit daw sila ng droga," Emano said.

Christopher Lastimosa, his wife Lea, and children Christian, 9, and Chanlee, 6, were found dead inside a septic tank near the victims' house on Wednesday.

Police authorities immediately responded to the area after relatives of the victims said they could not contact the four and saw traces of blood inside the house.

Police were able to arrest suspect Arman Abuyeni, who was spotted inside the victims' house.

He was allegedly a friend of Christopher.

Abuyeni admitted killing the Lastimosa family after Christopher allegedly failed to pay his debt of P70,000 worth of shabu.

Abuyeni said he and the other suspects also killed Christopher's wife and children after the three caught them hitting Christopher.

Police are looking into the alleged illegal drug activity of Christopher and the suspect as the possible motive of the killing.

Senior Inspector Richie Yandog said, "Meron tayong informant na kapitbahay ni Christopher na nagtutulak siya ng droga kasama si Armand."

One of the three other suspects, identified by Abuyeni as Eric Malong, was also a shabu supplier.

Abuyeni is now facing multiple charges of murder. -- Report from Lorenzo Luzon, ABS-CBN News Northern Mindanao
