MANILA, Philippines -  The Palace is optimistic as the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) open the 33rd round of peace talks Monday.

Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda is hoping that both sides will be able to iron out the annexes of their framework agreement, particularly those that involve normalization, wealth-sharing, and power-sharing.

He said he does not know when a decision on the annexes can be made.

"Kumbaga kasal na ang dalawa, detalye na lang ang pinag-uusapan," he said.

Meantime, the Palace is open to assisting the MILF in its desire to translate the framework agreement in different languages.

"That's something that certainly we would help. Ang ano lang kasi medyo may mga nuances sa language e so pag-uusapan pa 'yon. Pero certainly it's something that we would like to help. Kung mas makakabuti sa pag-intindi ng framework agreement, why not," Lacierda said.
