MANILA, Philippines – Four suspects in the failed ambush attempt on two Koreans in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu are facing charges of frustrated murder.

Three of the suspects have been identified as Rodencio Esperito, Boy Booc and Kim Jee Hyung.

Another gunman remains unidentified.

Police said the two wounded Korean businessmen, Lee Dong Gun and Jung Ha Bok, have been rescued and brought to safety.

Police suspect that, based on footage from a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, business rivalry is the motive behind the crime.

Because of the incident, Lapu-Lapu Police will schedule a conference among Korean businessmen in Cebu to prevent a similar incident from happening again. -- Report from Edgar Escalante, ABS-CBN News Central Visayas
