QUEZON – The decomposing bodies of two of the five crewmembers of a capsized vessel have been recovered in Quezon.
The body of Adrian Tangunan was found at the shoreline of Sitio Catapang, Barangay Busdak, Patnanungan, Quezon, on Thursday morning.
Tangunan was one of five crew members M/V Queen Ericka who went missing after it capsized due to strong waves brought by Typhoon Tino at Sitio Katakian, Barangay Busdak on Tuesday.
Authorities are still looking for the other crewmembers identified as Michael Malinao, Ronron Retez, and “Adrian”.
The body of another crew, identified only as "Peter," was recovered Friday morning a few kilometers away from where the vessel capsized, according to Philippine Coast Guard officials.
The vessel’s captain Nelson Bantaculo and fishermen Wison Quinton survived the incident. Both are residents of Barangay Caridad Ibaba, Atimonan, Quezon.
They were seen offshore at Sitio Guinaygayan in Barangay Poblacion.
