P60k worth of gun replicas seized in NegOcc

BACOLOD CITY - Elements of the Negros Occidental police intelligence branch seized some P60,000 worth of gun replicas in two raids in Bago and Cadiz cities recently.
Police Officer 3 Junji Liba said police seized 200 gun replicas in five stores on Rizal Street in Bago City. He said the fake guns had an accumulated worth of P20,000.
Another 200 guns worth more than P30,000 worth were seized in a commercial establishment in Cadiz City.
Police Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Manuel Felix said law enforcers are intensifying a crackdown on gun replicas, which are sometimes used by criminal syndicates to commit crimes.
