Burglars carted 16 firearms from a gun store in Bacolod City over the weekend, police said.
Police said people at the Shooters' Guns and Ammunition Corporation discovered the burglary after opening the store on Monday morning.
Charmaigne Gay Apale, officer-in-charge of the gun store on Rizal Street, said they closed the store on Saturday (October 31) for All Saints' Day.
Police said the burglars forced open the store by destroying its roll-up doors' padlocks. Investigators said the burglary could have taken place on November 1.
Apale said the burglars took 16 demo high-powered and low-powered firearms, P29,000 cash and thousands worth of gun spare parts and ammunitions.
Police have yet to identify the burglars. With a report from Ragie Mae Tano-Arellano, ABS-CBN Negros
