MANILA, Philippines – An alumna of the University of Santo Tomas was murdered in Cavite, the UST Central Student Counil said on Thursday.
In a post on its official Facebook page, the UST Central Student Council said Cyrish Magalang, a 2012 graduate of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, was brutally killed in Barangay Gawaran, Bacoor town.
The Facebook post, which came from a certain Dawn Toylo, said Magalang was stabbed 49 times and then hit with a wood in the head allegedly by drug-addicted tricycle drivers who picked her up inside their subdivision.
The murder occurred allegedly after Magalang bought food.
"To those who know her, fellow CTHM, fellow Thomasians and from Statefields, pray for her. You can visit her burial. Thank you!" Toylo said.
