MANILA, Philippines – A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rocked parts of Surigao del Norte at 11:46 Saturday night.
According to the Philippine Institue of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the center of the earthquake was located 104 kilometers northeast of Burgos.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 30 kilometers.
Two minutes before the 5.2-magnitude quake, a separate 3.4-magnitude quake also rocked the same area.
At 6:20 a.m. Sunday, a 4.1-magnitude quake struck Burgos again.
