3 domestic flights cancelled due to bad weather

MANILA – Three domestic flights have been cancelled Sunday due to bad weather conditions.

The Department of Transportation and Communications said the following flights were cancelled:

  • Caticlan – Manila 5J 829
  • Manila – Legazpi 5J 323
  • Legazpi – Manila 5J 324

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the low pressure area (LPA) it has been monitoring was last spotted at 4:00 a.m. some 50 km northeast of Surigao City.

The LPA is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.

Based on its 24-hour weather forecast, PAGASA said Visayas, CARAGA and Northern Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rain showers and thunderstorms.

Palawan, Bicol Region and the rest of Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
