MANILA, Philippines – Two earthquakes shook General Luna in Surigao del Norte Tuesday evening.
The first tremor that was recorded at magnitude 4 happened at 11:17 p.m.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the epicenter was located 64 kilometers southeast of General Luna with a depth of 10 kilometers.
After a few minutes, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck again with its epicenter 43 kms northeast of General Luna.
Phivolcs said both earthquakes were tectonic in origin.
