LANAO DEL SUR, Philippines - Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebel leader Abdullah Macapaar alias Commander Bravo is throwing his support behind the recently signed framework agreement between the government and MILF.

He even urged critics to give peace a chance.

An ABS-CBN News team returned to the mountains of Lanao to meet with him and his troops belonging to the MILF's armed wing, the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF).

ABS-CBN News last spoke to Commander Bravo last October 17, 2008 when he was still a fugitive.

This is in connection with a massacre in the town of Kolambugan on August 18, 2008.

After 4 years, Commander Bravo faced the music again, but things are different this time.

He is now the commander of the BIAF's Northwestern Front Mindanao, which operates in Lanao, Misamis, and Bukidnon.

Bravo said he is all for peace.

"Kasi, ang sabi ng Allah doon, kung tayong mga Muslim ay makipag-usap ng kapayapaan, tayo ding mga Muslim ay makipag-usap ng kapayapaan," he said.

Bravo also issued an appeal to critics of the Bangsamoro deal such as like Moro National Liberation From chairman Nur Misuari.

"Sana'y ito ay pagtulung-tulungan natin. Hindi po ito sarili ng MILF, kundi sarili po ng lahat ng mga Bangsamoro Muslim," he said.

Bravo is looking forward to the day when the government and the MILF sign the final agreement and when life can finally return to normal for all in Muslim Mindanao.

He also thanked the international community for their assistance, hopeful that with the agreement, peace will finally become a reality. - with ANC
