MANILA, Philippines – Two women were nabbed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in separate buy-bust operations in Tagum City and Davao City.
The suspects were identified as Janet Tan, 38, and Eden Grace Ugmad Amba, 37.
Tan was arrested in Purok Rambotan last October 17, 2012 after she was caught selling a plastic sachet of shabu to a PDEA agent who pretended to be a buyer.
On the other hand, PDEA arrested Amba last October 18 during a buy-bust operation in their neighborhood in Matina, Davao City.
Just like Tan, PDEA said Amba was caught selling a sachet of shabu to someone pretending to be a buyer.
Twenty more sachets of shabu were also recovered from Amba.
Tan and Ambam, who are both currently detained, will face charges in violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
