QUIRINO, Philippines - Nothing was left of Raymundo Cardona's Home in Quirino province, where Typhoon Quiel left a trail of destruction.

"Walang natira. Nandiyan na lahat. Walang natira," Cardona said.

ABS-CBN's Sagip Kapamilya wasted no time in reaching the area, as soon as access roads were cleared.

"Salamat sa inyo, may biyaya sa nasalanta," said Cardona.

Aside from damaged homes, typhoons Pedring and Quiel also damaged farms and crops.

Many farmers in the affected areas need help.

In Santo Tomas, Isabela Sagip Kapamilya brought relief by crossing treacherous rivers to reach isolated villages.

"Masaya kani dahil may tulong mula sa ABS-CBN," said Milette Catagatan.

In Tarlac, where residents are still reeling from the devastation of the 2 typhoons, Sagip Kapamilya distributed relief goods to 1,000 families.

"Nagkulang talaga sa bigas kaya salamat sa ABS-CBN," said disaster victim Adelfa Feliciano.

Many parts of the country heeded the call for help for typhoon victims in Luzon.

In Cebu City, residents trooped to Fuente Osmeña Rotonda to donate cash and relief goods.

The donations include P1.7 million in cash, 2,976 kilos of used clothing,  1,704 canned food, and 996 water bottles.

In the 2 days that Sagip Kapamilya Cebu held the donation drive, over P2 million worth of aid was collected.

The cash and relief goods are now on their way to Luzon. - ANC
