MANILA, Philippines – All storm signals have been lifted as tropical storm “Marce” continued to move away from the country.
As of 4 p.m., weather bureau PAGASA said the storm was spotted at 490 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales.
It was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of 80 kph.
Based on its forecast track, PAGASA said the tropical storm will be out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) Friday night.
However, fishing vessels and small boats were still advised against travelling along the western seaboard of Luzon due to big waves.
Light rains and thunderstorms were expected across the country, but PAGASA said weather is expected to improve by Sunday. -- With a report from ANC
