Cardinal Vidal recovering from mild stroke
CEBU – Archbishop Emeritus of Cebu Ricardo Cardinal Vidal is now recovering after suffering a mild stroke recently.
"Sa awa ng Diyos, I'm alive," Vidal said in a press conference at his residence in Sto. Nino Village, Cebu City Tuesday.
The 82-year-old cardinal was confined in a hospital for almost a week due to mild stroke.
Doctors advised him to get enough rest and refrain from eating too much sweets.
He thanked everyone who prayed for him to get well, saying he hopes to be able to attend the blessing of the mosaic of San Pedro Calungsod in St. Peter's Tomb at the Vatican.
