MANILA, Philippines – Nearly 2,000 passengers were stranded in various ports in Leyte and Northern Samar due to the isolated rainshowers experienced in Eastern Visayas.
There were also 136 rollings cargo vessels that were stranded.
Meanwhile, the ports in Liloan, Maasin and San Ricardo, Southern Leyte resumed its operation early Sunday morning.
The Office of Civil Defense already alerted different Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils, especially in Samar which is currently under a public storm warning signal.
