MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.3 earthquake jolted parts of Northern Samar past on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake’s epicenter was located in Laoang, Northern Samar and was recorded at 2:30 p.m.
The quake was felt at an intensity 4 in Laoang, Northern Samar, while intensity 3 was felt in Catarman, Palapag and Bobon, Northern Samar.
Allen, also in Nothern Samar, meantime, experienced intensity 2.
The quake was tectonic in origin. No casualties or damages were reported as of posting.
