SOUTH COTABATO - Four people were killed while two others were wounded after a truck fell off a ravine in T'boli, South Cotabato Tuesday morning.

The fatalities were identified as Marlon Gal, Joemar Lambong, Aying Gaje and Rene Boy Bisan, workers of a banana plantation in T'Boli.

The truck fell an estimated height of 100 meters, causing three of the victims to die on the spot.

Based on investigation, the truck was on its way to a banana plantation in Barangay Salacafe in T'boli. The driver avoided a pothole but one of the truck's tires slid off the ravine.

Due to the truck's weight, the driver had a hard time maneuvering the truck, which eventually fell off the ravine.

The roads were also slippery due to continuous rains in the province. -- report from Rean Hacosta, ABS-CBN News SOKSARGEN
