SOUTH COTABATO - A truck carrying six people fell off a cliff in T'Boli, South Cotabato Tuesday morning.

Four were declared dead on the spot. They were Joemar Lambong, Marlon Gal, Aying Gaje and Rene Boy Bisan.

Meanwhile, two passengers, Came Mark Blaza and Leo Calonia, sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital to receive treatment.

All passengers were workers of Sumifru, a banana plantation with operations in T'Boli

Police Chief Inspector Jose Mari Simangan, chief of police of T'Boli, said the truck fell off a cliff about 100 meters deep.

He said the truck was carrying almost 10,000 liters of pesticides headed to a banana plantation in Barangay Salacafe when it figured in an accident.

According to Simangan, the driver lost control of the vehicle as the road was slippery due to the downpour since Monday.
