Radio anchor hacked to death in Pangasinan

MANILA, Philippines – A radio anchor was hacked to death allegedly by his drinking buddies in Tayug, Pangasinan on Friday, police said.

SPO4 Reynaldo Mallari said Rizalino Salinas, an anchor of DWRS Radyo ng Bayan, was drinking with 18-year-old Isagani Alinas and a 15-year-old suspect when they got into an argument.

The suspects allegedly fatally hacked Salinas.

Police have yet to determine the motive behind the incident.

They are investigating if Salinas’ job as a mediaman is linked to the killing.

The suspects, meanwhile, denied that they killed Salinas. -- Report from Edwin Sevidal, dzMM
