MANILA, Philippines – United States Ambassador to the Philippines Harry Thomas Jr. said on Thursday he has recommended to the US State Department the lifting of the travel ban on Mindanao.

The ambassador, who made the announcement during the opening of the 20th Mindanao Business Conference in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, said there have been improvements in the peace and order situation in the region.
