Boy drowns in Davao floods

MANILA, Philippines – A 12-year-old boy was killed while several others remain missing after floods ravaged Toril, Davao City.

The victim was identified as Fernando Caitom, who drowned when a creek in his village overflowed, due to continuous rains.

In Cebu, at least five houses were destroyed by flashfloods in Barangay Ki-ot.

Three people were rushed to a hospital due to injuries as waters gushed into their homes.

In Sarangani Province, close to 600 families are affected by floods due to non-stop rains Saturday.

Hardest hit by the floods was the town of Malungon. -- ANC
