Quake damages 77 homes in E. Samar town
MANILA, Philippines – The 7.7 magnitude earthquake Friday night damaged 77 homes, affecting 259 residents in General MacArthur, Eastern Samar, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) said.
PDRRMC said the affected residents of Barangay Dos took shelter at relatives’ homes.
Authorities said a 6-year-old child from the barangay was injured.
In Barangay Casoroy, San Julian, 6 houses were also damaged by the quake.
