PAGASA monitoring two LPAs

MANILA, Philippines – State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring two low pressure areas (LPAs) – one west of Batangas, and one east of Mindanao.

One LPA was lost spotted 500 kilometers west of Ambulong, Batangas, and has been bringing rains these past few days. It is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Sunday.

A second LPA was spotted 1,550 kilometers east of Mindanao and is forecast to enter PAR within two to three days.

Meanwhile, Palawan, Western Visayas, Caraga, Davao, and Northern Mindanao should brace for light to moderate rains. The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will have isolated rain showers. -- Report from ANC.
