MANILA, Philippines - Tropical storm Igme has finally left the Philippine area of responsibility, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday night.

In its latest bulletin, PAGASA said the center of the storm was located at 550 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes, as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 130kph.

"Igme," which is moving north northeast at 22 kph, is forecast to be at 645 km north northeast of Basco, Batanes or at 290 km northeast of Taipei, Taiwan by Wednesday morning.

The tropical storm is enhancing the southwest monsoon that will bring light to moderate rains over the western section of Luzon.

"Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the Seaboards of Northern Luzon and the western seaboard of Central Luzon due to big waves generated by tropical storm "Igme," PAGASA said.
