UP Baguio gets bomb threat
MANILA – Classes were suspended in University of the Philippines Baguio due to a bomb threat.
Speaking to dzMM, UP Baguio Chancellor Raymundo Rovillos said a text message from an anonymous person said that a bomb was planted in one of the buildings inside the campus.
Rovillos said UP Baguio Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Wilfredo Arangui received the text message at 8:55 a.m.
''Nagpa-evacuate muna kami and then we suspended classes for the day while ongoing ang investigation,'' Rovillos said.
As of 10 a.m., bomb experts were scouring the campus for the alleged bomb. Two bomb sniffing dogs were also deployed. – report from Armenio Supang, dzMM
