MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) -- The body of one of the missing pilots of a Philippine Air Force trainer plane has been found three months after it crashed off Lamonja island near Mariveles, Bataan.

Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cdr. Armand Balilo said the body is still wearing his Air Force uniform. The head is missing, however.

Coast Guard commandant Vice Adm. Edmund Tan identified the body as that of Maj. Neil Tumaneng.

The body was retrieved by F/Bca Bakery - skippered by Apolinario Felix of Tanza, Navatos - off La Monja island around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The remains have already been brought to a funeral parlor and the military has already been informed of the developments.

The turbo prop Warrior Cessna trainer plane crashed last May 19. A fisherman later found the aircraft wreckage at Lamonja island.

Two pilots were on board the aircraft. The other one is identified as 1Lt. Michael Arugay. - from a report by Noel Alamar, dzMM
