4.9 magnitude quake hits Buruanga, Aklan

MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolted Buruanga, Aklan Sunday afternoon.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the earthquake happened at 3:38 p.m. and it was tectonic in origin.

Intensity 4 was recorded at Libertad, Antiko while instensity 1 was felt in Lezo, Aklan.
