ILOILO - A rice trader in Iloilo has accused the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) of setting her up during a raid in her warehouse where workers were allegedly caught repacking National Food Authority (NFA) rice.

Charmaine Devicente vehemently denied that her family is involved in the repackaging of NFA rice into commercial rice.

She claimed a video footage showing workers repacking NFA rice was only set up by operatives of the NBI.

She said the workers were only ordered by the NBI agents to repack the rice.

The NBI, for its part, refuted the allegations of Devicente.

Atty. Jeremiah Sargado, NBI's supervising agent, said they are ready to face any charges that will be filed by the camp of Devicente.
