ILOILO - Police have filed a formal complaint against a member of militant group Anakbayan who heckled President Benigno Aquino III while he was delivering his speech in Iloilo City last June 27.

Bryan Bosque, Anakbayan's vice president for Visayas, was charged for creating alarm and scandal before the Iloilo City Prosecutor's Office.

Bosque, however, was unshaken by the charges.

He said these will instead push him and his co-members to conduct more protest actions against the suppression of their right to express their sentiments.

He said his group is also planning to file counter charges against members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) for his illegal arrest.

Last June 27, Aquino was interrupted in his speech after Bosque and other Anakbayan members got closer to the area where the President was delivering his message.

Members of the PNP then immediately pushed the protesters away from the venue.

Aquino was speaking during the inauguration of infrastructure projects in the city.
