MANILA – A doctor was found dead in Cavite on Monday, and investigators are considering robbery as the motive behind the killing.

The victim, identified as Rolando Custodio, was found dead inside his Hyundai Starex van abandoned beside a road in Barangay Tanauan in Tanza town last Monday, July 28.

Maria Fe Custodio said her brother was found hogtied, blindfolded, and muzzled. Rolando, a pediatrician, died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Maria Fe said her brother's documents, checks, and P10,000 earnings from another business had gone missing.

She, however, said she is still puzzled as to why her brother was subjected to such a brutal treatment if robbery was the only motive of his killers.

Talagang sadyang pinatay. Parang may halong galit,'' she said in an interview on dzMM.

Maria Fe said her brother is a big loss for the family and the people who depend on him.

Maria Fe is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the killing to come forward so her family could obtain justice.

She said she does not know anyone who would have the motive to kill her brother. – report from Eric Dastas, dzMM
