MANILA -- Two million individuals flocked to Ciudad de Victoria in Bocaue, Bulacan Sunday to participate in the centennial celebration of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).
But half of those who attended failed to go inside the Philippine Arena, even after waiting outside the arena as early as Saturday.
The celebration kicked off with a fireworks display over Ciudad de Victoria.
The worship service, which started 6 a.m. Sunday, was the highlight of the celebration.
Due to the amount of people who attended the event, a part of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) in Bulacan was clogged with vehicles.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned motorists to expect heavy traffic in the area until early morning Monday, as there are still a lot of vehicles parked near Ciudad de Victoria. -- report from Dennis Datu, DZMM
