MANILA, Philippines – Tropical depression “Ferdie” has left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the government’s weather bureau said late Saturday.
In its 10 p.m. weather bulletin on Saturday, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Ferdie was last spotted 350 kilometers (kms) west northwest of Laoag City .
Ferdie was moving west northwest at 15 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center.
PAGASA lowered all public storm warnings.
However, the weather bureau warned fishing boats and other small vessels from going out to sea at the western seaboard of Luzon due to the combined effects of tropical depression Ferdie and the southwest monsoon.
Ferdie is expected to be at 650 kms west northwest of Laoag City by Sunday evening.
