Suspect in Rolito Go kidnap arrested

MANILA – One of the suspects in the kidnapping of Rolito Go and his nephew, Klemens Yu, has been arrested by authorities in San Pedro, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The suspect, Reynaldo Tadtad, was arrested for kidnapping for ransom charges through a warrant issued by the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 296.

Tadtad is one of the seven suspects who allegedly kidnapped Go and Yu near the Inang Awa Church inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) compound on August 14, 2012.

Tadtad denied his involvement in the crime, but said he will testify in the case.

He will be detained at the Muntinlupa City Jail.

The other suspects in the kidnapping of Go are Emilio Ortiz, Lawrence Yurong, Emerson Guazon, Fernando Francisco, Armando Pondero, and Jerry Duenas.

Go was convicted for the killing of Eldon Maguan in 1991 and is serving time at the NBP. -- Report from Ernie Manio, ABS-CBN News Southern Tagalog
