MANILA (UPDATED) – The death toll from Typhoon ''Glenda'' (international name ''Rammasun'') has reached 64, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday afternoon.
The NDRRMC said most of the fatalities were from Calabarzon: Laguna (11), Quezon (10), Cavite (10), Batangas (9), and Rizal (3).
In Metro Manila, one died in Pasay City and another one in Valenzuela.
Three died in Marinduque; two each in Pampanga, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, Samar, and Northern Samar; and one each in Bulacan, Zambales, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Iloilo, and Biliran.
The NDRRMC said five from Batangas, Quezon, Marinduque, and Northern Samar remain missing, and at least 103 were injured.
The cost of damage to infrastructure was pegged at P1,045,431,600, while losses to the agriculture sector was at P4,630,306,155.
The NDDRMC said 20 roads and 3 bridges remain impassable following the typhoon's onslaught.
Some 7,002 homes were totally destroyed, while 19,257 were partially damaged.
The NDRRMC said Albay, Camarines Sur, Samar, Laguna, Naga City, and Obando, Bulacan have been placed under states of calamity.
